PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We were selected to oversee the potential relocation, and ultimately the in-place demolition and reconstruction of the Buffalo City Missions current men’s shelter. Located at 100 E Tupper Street, Buffalo, NY 14203, the new site is 75,000 SF. City Mission retained Our team served as Owner’s Representative for the project, with Carmina Woods Morris as architect and RP Oak Hill as Construction Manager. This revived site will allow the Buffalo City Mission to upgrade all of their client services to the underserved homeless population in need. This initiative is matched with the overall vision of the organization, to restore hope to the homeless of Western New York, and complements their state-of-the-art Women and Children’s Shelter, Cornerstone Manor - which we also worked on.

The new building includes: Medical Clinic, Mental Health Services, Recuperative Care Unit, Transitional Housing, Emergency Shelter Space, Partner Agency Service Access, Case Management, Meals, and Clothing Pantry.

RESULTS

Mobilization on site began the week of September 2, 2018 and construction wrapped up at the end of 2020.

We were selected for the project based on our experience, organizational capacity, and the broad resources available as the area’s leader in Owner Representation services.

Buffalo City Mission The Alfiero Family Center of Hope and Promise was a design-build project.
