IBM | Buffalo Info Tech Hub
OUR ROLE: Developer, Owner’s Representation
SCHEDULE: 2014 - 2017
SIZE: 100,000 sq ft
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We were selected to serve as designated Developer and Owner’s Representative for IBM’s new innovation center in Buffalo, NY. Following a comprehensive site search seeking a facility in Buffalo’s downtown core to accommodate IBM’s 500-employee technology center, the leadership team selected Key Center at Fountain Plaza to house an approximate 100,000 SF center for IBM. The facility occupies the top six floors of the building. WE led the effort to construct the project scope with Carmina Wood Morris, the project architect and LeChase Construction as the CM. We advised the client and user on phasing and schedule issues, working hand in hand with funders to make sure the project complied with all requirements and parameters, and provided detailed record keeping and compliance services. Additionally, we competitively bid all construction services, FFE (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) procurement, and oversaw the entire project process to make sure it proceeded smoothly and on schedule.
RESULTS
The project was recently completed in April 2017 as part of the Buffalo Billion economic development initiative.
